'As an insomniac and over-thinker, night time is most often when I am processing and evaluating my life, my dreams and fears, my losses and my gains, the world and my place in it. It is also when I am processing my work - often painting an entire painting in my head, stroke by stroke. It is also when I do a body scan - taking note of the physical sensations. On a good night I am able to note pain but not be overcome by it. On a good night I am able to still my heart and breathe. On a good night I breathe my way into ease and gratitude.'
